Millions of Stone Blocks
Egyptian Pyramids are one of the seven wonders of the world. Millions of stone blocks were used to construct these majestic structures. Where the weight of the stones reached 20 Tones. The Great Pyramid of Giza, the oldest and largest of the three, is estimated to have 2.3 million blocks. Khafre’s Pyramid has an estimated 1.9 million blocks, while the smallest of the three, Menkaure’s Pyramid, is estimated to have around 1 million blocks. The stones were quarried from limestone and sandstone from nearby locations and transported to the construction site.
