Constant Internal Temperature
The Egyptian Pyramids are an incredible architectural feat. Did you know that their internal temperature is a constant 20.5 degrees Celsius, despite the external temperature? This is due to the pyramids’ orientation and the limestone used in their construction. Additionally, the limestone blocks absorb the sun’s heat during the day and radiate it during the night. This helps keep the interior temperature constant. Furthermore, the pyramids are made of huge stones that have been cut and fitted perfectly, with no mortar required. They also have been built to last, surviving for thousands of years!
