Jordaan
The Jordaan is one of the most famous districts in Amsterdam and all of the Netherlands. The neighborhood was originally a tight knight working class area. In fact, many of the houses still show this influence. Many houses have stone tablets on the front with pictures showing the profession of the original inhabitants. For example, a tailor might have a pair of scissors, or a butcher might have a pig.
