Rani of Jhansi (Lakshmibai) was the queen of the princely state of Jhansi in North India. Queen Lakshmibai was the leading figure during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. She became a prominent figure of resistance to the British Raj. She was famous among the Brits and Indian nationals for her valor and fighting skills.

Today, people remember her with a sword and riding a horse. Across India, there are several statues of her. She was highly patriotic.
